I need Shelter

After reading Ernie's blog about the movie Shelter I instantly fell in love with this movie. The storyline is nothing fancy, a classic story about commitments to your family, your dreams, your responsibility and most of all, your responsibility to love. Very my kind of fairytale. I have it in my ipod and I watched my favourite clip this morning.

I had never been a fan of queer flicks nor gay TV series such as QAF as i am pretty irked out on the vulgarity and the very "porn-ish" kinda stuff they put in but this movie was just so lovey-dovey with a pretty minimal sorta exposure and they beautifully placed in scenes of the courtship along the beautiful song "Lie to Me" by Shane Mack. I totally was immersed into this song and it has been playing on my ipod ever since.

As for the two actors, Trevor Wright and Brad Rowe are just too tasty to ignore. Well, Trevor plays Zach, a poor kid who has the weight of the world on his shoulders. And then comes Brad who plays Shaun, who is Zach's best friend's older brother who popped into town after a break up. They met and fell in love. The movie depicts Zach as the confused, needy one while Shaun plays the guy who is easy going and just never stop surprising Zach. The two have so much chemistry yet both, I suspect are straight guys. Gosh, even the kissing scenes were just so intimate, it really made me want to fall in love... Hmmm.... Yes yes, i am a sucker for romance. I just hate it that guys like Shaun

My verdict is that it would be a great movie for lovely couples out there to snuggle up on the couch and watch this flick and later have some hot sex or for single, lonely guys to be reminded that there is hope... the later find someone to have a kiss or a hug or two...

Oh oh... favourite scene? Well, there is the Lie to Me clips but another scene that caught my eye was the part where Shaun asked Zach over for steak and to encourage him, asked him to stand up and hugged him for a really long time... So cute...

Ello... Is Destiny there? Where is my Shaun?

A new prespective?

It shocked myself that I found myself no longer interested in getting a boyfriend!
No, I am not turning straight (not that I could) or am I giving up hope in my so called "one true love" (sings "True Love's Kiss) but I think its time to leave it up to the fates. I don't think I can commit into one as I am still living with my oh so strict parents and with my inability to be independent with my finances and my life, I suppose this is not the right time. Yes, I do sound mature but then again, once in a while, I longed for a touch, a kiss , a hug or even, intimacy...

Laughter in bed...

Sometimes, you longed to have someone that you could get into your room and pick up your phone and decide to call that one person you wanna pour your heart out, that one guy that is able to calm your nerves, the guy whom you want to spend time in the supermarket, the guy you wanna fight over the last tub of ice cream and yes, the one whom you would share the same bed with to hug at night, to get up next morning to find him next to you. Oh well, fantasies...
Lovely but deadly...

I don't see myself getting serious with someone but I would love to, at the moment, find a soul mate, a confidant, someone to be there for you to offer a crying shoulder, a friend, a teddy to be hugged. I know, you are now staring at the screen with that disgusted look thinking what am I thinking. Such is a pretty idealistic idea but nevertheless, someone we all wish to find in our lives, and you reading this, I know you longed too. (Yes, I heard the gulp!)

Hugs...
So hence, if wishing stars are true, I wish I may, I wish I might, find that soul mate in which I shall name... Mike?

Amen....

And then...

After a while,
You realised something is just not right,
You cry,
You sob,
You wish you could die,
cos there is no reason why,
You could walk on by,
and not reconcile,
For a while,
It seems alright,
But as time goes by,
You just have to have them by your side...

We knew we fought over a petty thing and now we have reconciled... I love my "Angel" to death.

Disappointment...

Bitch.... I hate you!!!

Things in which only seemed natural to say when you hate someone... and yes, I do hate someone and that is someone I have for 4 years deemed to be my best friend

It was one of those days that you have already a crappy day and when u got home to chat on msn with your best friend, she tells you she has some issues with you. The natural consequence of this is that you ask her whats wrong...

Me: Whats wrong

A: You use me and my family... (??? Its like some drama you watch...) You always depend on me for transport and all

Me: Hell... I don't have a car bitch! whats wrong with you?

(After more bickering)

A: You know, that day you and your family went to dinner and you brought me along, I have to pay expensive carpark you know? (Hell whats wrong with you? I belanja you dinner

(and after more spiteful words...)

A: You are damn rich, your family is richer than mine... Bla bla bla... (What??? Since when she has my family account with her... Probably, the richer one is her, not me... I can bet its her BTW

Hell, do best friends even calculate stuffs like that? The best part is this

A: You only give me encouragements, thats all. You never drive me around and all... (Hell if I have a car I would la Bitch

Hence, the moral of the story, there is no such thing as best friends... They are faker than fake and they tell you stuffs that you wanna hear. I couldn't believe she harboured such feelings all these time. I don't need to justify myself as I know where I stand. I learned that its all about money and all your feelings and time and other priceless (or rather costless) things are not important in today's context of friendship.

I Tell You Ev'ything!!!

I Heart Ms Swan...
If you have ever watched MadTV on youtube, do check out this character played by Alex Borstein where she plays a foreign, stouty lady working as a manicurist at the Gorgeous Pretty Beauty Nail Saloon.

She is absolutely talented when it comes to playing this character that would get you to bits...
Here are some of my favourite episodes...

Freedom at last...

Well well, what do you know...
I have now put an end to the entire ordeal of sitting for 4 treacherous papers and now its full throttle on the wedding...
Am pretty excited since I am singing in it... Yes, all the jiwang songs like Love Me Tender and all but well, I am doing it all for a cause, in prevention of those hideous karaoke sessions by old uncles and aunties belting out the few operas and songs which are not meant to be sung in weddings... Hence, I ceased the opportunity and went on to do what may be my few opportunities of being on a stage to show off my so called "hidden talent" to the deaf ear and see if I could garner a few claps of my own... be it out of courtesy or true appreciattion for my gift...

I just hope I hold my keys as well as he does...

Ok...
Enough of me crapping about the wedding...
I will be missing in action for a week or two traveling to Taiwan and Hong Kong for the next round of the wedding since my uncle is getting married to a Taiwanese, I would be attending the Taiwan one as well as going to Hong Kong for a short trip and a private trip to Hong Kong Disneyland...

So I shall see you guys soon...
Adios Amigos...

27 Dresses... and two hot cutie pies...

Well, its a lazy Saturday afternoon where i was supposed to be studying for my next paper, I decided to watch a little movie, the downloaded version of 27 dresses by the ever so beautiful Katherine Heigl and the dashing James Marsden...

Gosh, I am a sucker for movies like this. Beautiful dresses, weddings, love, romance, bitch slaps and lots of laughter. I love happy endings... I love it when the whole movie revolves around the search for happiness, true love and all those sweetness that Hollywood injected in our minds, totally corrupting the reality of true romance and marriage. I am just so enthralled by the whole concept of the dresses she kept and that at last, they all repaid their dues and attended the wedding in the brides' respective dresses...

Favourite part has got to be staring at James Marsden's eyes...

And also at the hunky Edward Burns...

Well, but this movie kept me thinking... We all have a very fixed sorta idea as to how our true love is to come and materialise in our eyes but hey, they come in the most unexpected form and well, people, are at times filled with surprises...

So I guess all I have to do now is to wait, wait and see when will I ever be sucked into my whirl-wind romance like how Jane fell for Kevin in the bar... And I wish i get to mouth out that he is sexy as well!!!

This movie is so my favourite!
