Show Me the Meaning of Being Lonely!!!

Well, it is rather true that the grass always seemed greener the other side.

The bird in the cage wishes to be free outside while the lil birdie outside wished to sit in a cage...

Yes, I feel extremely lonely, I feel extremely unwanted...

What to do?

Nobody loves me, everyone hates me...

I don't wanna be single anymore!

Way To Go Malaysia!!!

No... Nothing about political victory or any breakthrough in terms of general discrimination but then again... its the 2nd ever torch relay run to be held in Malaysia...

Yes and I was part of this pretigous event...

I waited in the blistering sun for almost 2 hours on the 21st of April 2008 near college for the arrival of what seem to be a horde of chinese people (according to mum, they must be the people from the China Embassy since they were closed) in buses along with the torch bearer who was being tapped from a green DBKL van (which you usually see our dedicated cleaners being shipped all over town in)

All in all, it was a fun event... Loved being able to participate in it... Especially standing next to a cute Aussie (don't ask me why I didn't take his picture with my lecturers and friends standing close by)

Enjoy!

Yes, you see the flames??? thats the torch Relay guy but I can't get him cos everyone is so freakin mengacau only...

American Idol again

Today being one of those mad mad days...
I woke up at 6 to get ready to go out all the way to Shah Alam to witness my uncle's wedding... Yes, he is getting married... Or rather legally speaking, already got married... Was so romantic...
Then it was all about TV3 and the screen test... Was really crazy that I couldn't get through those gates... I didn't have any contact number of anyone or whatsoever... Hence, I have to call into TV3 to find someone and thankfully by divine intervention, I met Ida who was just so hospitable and got me in... She even told me that she is quiting the job and I do hope we cross path again someday...

Lepas screen test all, I went to 1U for makan with my new "uncle and auntie" before having a peep at my sick brother in the hospital... Dengue fever...

Well well, and what have I got to say every Wednesday? American Idol tonight had every contestant to deal with a Super Diva and made them deliver Diva-rific songs...
And guess what, everyone did a superb job...

My darling David Archuleta belted the best ever version of "When You Believe"

While Syesha impressed me with a very nice version of "Vanishing"

But David Cook's version of "Always Be My Baby" was mind boggling...

Shout to the Lord...

so much for pledging not to blog for the remaining days till exams but how can I stop when I saw American Idol finalists singing Shout to the Lord on National TV!!!
This song is one that I sang over and over in church and it brings a sense of pride and joy to have a christian song played on national TV...

And I was also shocked to have them sing Seasons of Love by Rent, one of the first songs I learned in Choir...
Memoirs, memoirs...

Sing a song...

Well, Music has been a big part of my life and I don't really mean like how many would relate it to instruments and how much of one is trying to be a performer someday. I just simply love good music and it translate to my very eclectic taste. No, I ain't trying to say that music today i no where near bearable listening material however, what we have today as much as i tried to appreciate it is basically... noise!

So I was having tandoori chicken and Naan (a favourite and we only get to eat it when we have guest from overseas) so this distant aunt of mine was here this weekend. She used to find me and my siblings "way too immature to even stand in her presence or even to strike up conversations". Prior to this, my sister and I were basically fighting over my Ipod in the car ( our very own way of showing affection for one another) both of us trying to out do one another with our musical taste... Hence, our conversations at the table was music. Boy, was she shocked at our taste in music. Sis loves classical, acoustic music with a blend of Japanese music and English oldies as well as some more mellow, melancholic music while I am into Motown, Beatles and vocal driven songs not to mention Diva-Galore-rific songs from Whitney. We end up having Celine Dion and Il Divo playing on her PDA while we had naan. What ambiance!

I used to have friends and all teasing me about my musical taste... "So old one?" "Har, what song is that? Who is that?" But I could never be bothered... I always think that people who can enjoy such music are not the unclassy few... hahaha...

But thinking back, it was a fun night... I had my parents and the three of us singing oldies which i totally loathe such as Neil Sedaka's Runaway Train and that unending song about the Itsy Bitsy Tiny Polka Dot Bikini...

Here are a few tracks to spice up the blog...
And yes, they are my absolute favourite...

This is my current fave sing-a-long song... David Archuleta's Version of "Smoky Mountain Memories"

Love Song by Sara Bareilles is so addictive...

4 minutes is my "Walking Song"

Stevie Wonder is one of my many idols... here is the only one I performed at my... erm "audition"
